How to Reduce Cellulite

If you want to reduce the effects of unsightly cellulite on your body, consider a detoxifying diet. This can reduce cellulite that already exists, and prevent the appearance of more in future.

A detoxifying diet can help to reduce cellulite by eliminating many of the products and chemicals that have built up in the body and created the situation that leads to the build-up of lumpy, “orange-peel” skin. Keep in mind that most convenience foods are high in exactly the ingredients you want to avoid. Try to avoid snacks between meals as much as possible; these are almost certainly going to contain the fat, sugar and salt that will take your diet off the rails.

Vitamins and minerals should be emphasized in a diet to reduce cellulite. These are believed to reduce the absorption of fats and help to restore your skin to a healthy appearance. Increase the amount of fiber you get; this will make you feel full with less food and encourage proper elimination of excess products.

Reduce your overall intake of calories, fat and especially saturated fats while on a detoxifying diet. This will help to give your body a more constant energy level and a bumped-up metabolic rate.

Maintaining an aerobic exercise routine during the detoxifying diet will also help to reduce cellulite, because it will help to trim and tone your body, reducing the effects of the lumps and bumps that characterize a cellulite problem. Jog, swim, ride a bike or go for long walks to reduce stress and promote the healthy elimination of cellulite.
