Does a Cellulite Massager Work?

The skin condition called cellulite can be a stubborn problem to fight. Caused by large, bumpy fat cells stretching surrounding tissues beneath the skin, the appearance of cellulite can be reduced by such treatments as a cellulite massager, body wraps, cleansing, nutrition and exercise.

Women are more susceptible to cellulite than men. The subcutaneous layer that holds fat storage cells in the form of cellulite are spread vertically in women. This makes the bulging bumps more visible. Also, because women have higher levels of estrogen in their systems, their fat cells’ capacity is higher, and that overcapacity creates the appearance of cellulite packages beneath the skin.

Those are factors that women are born with, and have little or no control over. There are other factors that can be controlled, however. Diet and exercise will improve circulation and promote the safe and regular removal of excess fat in those cellulite compartments. Fat, fluids and other byproducts of metabolic systems are among the substances stored in cellulite cells under the skin.

Would You Give 22 minutes a Day to Get Rid of Your Cellulite?

Reducing the amount of these products, and encouraging their natural release, is necessary to treat cellulite. A cellulite massager or similar device will help in this task. You want to shrink the fat cells and strengthen the surrounding tissues so that the fatty layers is contained in a smoother, more compact and tone appearance. Enzymes will help this process. Certain natural-source enzymes encourage the replacement of damaged cells, improve circulation and regenerate the collagen that will strengthen collagen fibers holding fat cells in proper balance. Bromelain, cider vinegar and green tea all promote this effect.

A sensible diet that is low in fat will also combat the effects of cellulite, even without a massager. Aerobic exercise that pushes your cardiovascular system will promote overall health; target cellulite-prone areas by including lower-body exercise such as cycling and jogging. Use weights to get the toning benefits of squats, curls and leg-presses.

Many experts recommend scrubbing and cellulite massager to reduce the appearance of cellulite. You can do this with or without any chemical compounds, lotions or scrubs. Natural products are available, including simple coffee grounds as a scrub. These act as an exfoliant and, used with a loofah sponge, can remove excess skin cells while aiding circulation. When using a cellulite massager, use a circular motion and brush continuously upward, exercising the connective tissues and encouraging the replacement of excess cells with new and vital ones.

A health regimen that includes a cellulite massager and other treatments, whether they are new or centuries-old, will combat unsightly cellulite.
